Reception Hors d'oeuvres

When choosing hors d'oeuvres for an event please use the following formulas to help determine the amount of pieces per guest to order:

If you are choosing hors d'oeuvres as an appetizer being served prior to a served meal allow 4-6 pieces per guest.   When you are choosing hors d'oeuvres for a heavy reception where you will be serving hors d'oeuvres only 10-12 pieces is recommended per guest.  Especially if the event falls between the dinner hour of 5:00 pm -7:00 pm.
