Guest Count
Your final guest count is due to our offices three business days prior to your event. The final guest count wiil be used as your guaranteed attendance. We will bill according to the guaranteed number of guests, or actual count, whichever is greater. You can always increase your guest count after you have given your guaranteed count.
Cancellations
We ask that any cancellations be made 36 hours prior to your event. Cancellations made 24 hours or less prior to your event will be billed 50% of the estimated bill.
Leftovers
Food is extremely perishable; therefore, food leftover from a function remains the property of DePaul Catering and should not be taken by guests. This policy complies with local health deparment rules and regulations. DePaul Catering is a proud contributor to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Leftovers are donated whenever possible. No credits will be issued for leftover food or unused items.
Delivery Services
Standard deliveries and pick-up are set up at your convenience. Unless requested , service staff will not remain at the event. Please contact the catering office for a price quote for a special attendant request.
Serviceware and Rental Items
All pricing includes upscale disposable serviceware and standard white in-house linen. China service is available upon request. Linen. If additional tablecloths are needed for your event a $4.00 per tablecloth for in-house linen charge will be added to your final bill. Please request extra tablecloth needs when placing your order. With all full service events the "in-house white" tablecloths and napkins are included in the per guest cost. Colored and specialty boutique linen are available at an additional cost. Table and Chairs. The Student Center Staff or Facility Operations can assist you with these needs.
Event Staffing
Your Catering Director will help you determine waiter/waitress and bartender needs based on the size of your group, menu, style of service and the logistics of the space. Staffing for events is charged on an houly basis for actual hours worked with a four-hour minimum. Actual hours include event setup and breakdown. The rate for attendants and bartenders is $30.00 per hour per service person. We allow one waitstaff per 20 guests.
